Knowing Colva Beach, South Goa also means knowing the beaches that surround it. Betalbatim lies to the north, while Sernabatim and Benaulim continue along the coast to the south. Betalbatim offers a quieter stretch of shoreline and forms part of the sandy coast extending towards Majorda, Utorda, Arossim, and Velsao.

Pick the Season & Let Goa Set the Pace
The period between October and March is recommended by India's tourism ministry as the best time to visit Colva Beach. It is also when the beach is at its most suited to a classic South Goa day out.
For a more relaxed experience, start earlier in the day and leave enough time for a sunset walk. If you are planning to get into the water or take part in water activities, check the local sea conditions before heading out. There is no need to over-plan the day. Leave room for a long walk, an unhurried meal, and perhaps another stop by the shore before you leave.
